SIXTH GENERATION

60. James Caleb GARRISON was born in 1776. He died in 1865 in Franklin County, Georgia. He was buried in Dry Pond Church Cemetery, Jackson County. James and Katie had 12 children. In the 1830's they moved to Jackson County, near Jefferson. They are buried at Dry Pond Church with their sons John, Joseph T. and Caleb. He was married to Martha Catherine (Katie) MORGAN in 1802 or 1803.

61. Martha Catherine (Katie) MORGAN was born in 1772 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. She died in 1841 in Clarke County, Georgia. She was buried in Dry Pond Church Cemetery, Jackson County. The name Martha Catherine comes from Jo Busby; it was not passed down through the family. James Lord supplied the death information, but he gives her birth as 1785. Children were:

child i. Samuel GARRISON was born in 1804.
child ii. Salisbury (Berry) GARRISON was born about 1806 in near Carnesville, Georgia.
child iii. Mary Ann (Babe) GARRISON was born about 1806/7.
child iv. Sarah GARRISON was born about 1810.
child v. Hillie GARRISON.
child vi. David GARRISON was born in Orange County, South Carolina.
child vii. John GARRISON was buried in Dry Pond Church Cemetery, Jackson County.
child viii. Joseph T. GARRISON was born about 1814. He died in 1890. He was buried in Dry Pond Church Cemetery, Jackson County. Two of their sons went to the Yukon. Two daughters moved to Texas.
child ix. Patterson GARRISON was born on Apr 7 1816. He died on Aug 23 1877.
child x. Thomas Wesley GARRISON was born on Mar 22 1818. He died on Apr 22 1898.
child30 xi. Caleb GARRISON.
child xii. Silas Morgan GARRISON was born on Aug 25 1822. He died on Aug 20 1864 in Atlanta, Georgia.
