ENNER COLLINS MINDER:
Kenner Collins Minder, born 8 November 1864, in Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa, to Benjamin and Lavina (Long) Minder. He was married twice, had two children, girls, by his first wife, and seven children with his second wife, Cora. One child, a baby boy, died in infancy.

Kenner was a farmer and had a farm off what is now highway 10, east of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, in Salem Township. He had eighty acres of land. On this land in 1924 was 8 acres of corn, 1 acre of potatoes, 10 acres of oats for grain, 12 acres of clover, 3 acres of alfalfa hay, 2 1\2 acres of tabacco and 2 acres of plow land used only for pasture. At this time the house did not have electric lights.

Kenner lived by a very strict schedule. He wanted his breakfast at a certain time every morning, at noon lunch had to be on the table and supper was at five. Cora had to see that this schedule was kept. He was also a very stern man. But he provided well for his family.

On 9 December 1932, at the age of 67 years, one month, and 2 days he died of a stroke at his home.

Survivors were his wife, Cora, six daughters, Mrs. R.C. Orr, Mukilteo, Washington, Mrs. A.J. Smith, Red Wing, Minnesota, Mrs. Cordie Blodgett, Trego, Wisconsin, Mrs. Basil Traynor, Spring Valley, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Henry Peterson and Mrs. Hartzel Hase of this community. One son, Claude Minder. Two children preceded him in death. He has eighteen grandchildren; one brother, Eli; and one sister Mrs. August Schuller, both of St. Paul, Minnesota; also many other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Methodist church and was a kind and loving husband and father. He was greatly interested in his community welfare and will be greatly missed by his many relatives and friends.

Poem written by Henry Peterson his son-in-law at the time of Kenner's death:
Though he has sown
And he has reaped,
But now his Savior is going to reap.
Oh his breath is coming short
And he can not see his way,
Help him, Dear Lord,
That he may not go astray.
Though his dear ones are
Gathered 'round his bed,
And many a tear is sadly shed,
Help him, Dear Lord,
That he may not mistread.
We grieve to have him leave us,
But God knows what is best,
For we know he has a resting place
And God will take him there to rest.

He is buried at the Ono Methodist Church Cemetery in Salem Township, Wisconsin.

She passed from this world into eternity and is now with her Lord and Saviour, living there on the other side of death with the Heavenly Host. Death came very peacefully in the Red Wing Hospital on the 16th day of June, 1936. She left us whispering prayers and hymns, so we feel she is saved.
