RANCIS JAMES BIEDERMAN:
Francis attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Durand, Wisconsin. He went by the name "Frank" and was nicknamed "Red" because of his hair color. He spent some time in the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) along with his brother, George, in 1933/4. He served in the Army during WWII, and was a cook.
     
After he was married he was employed as a cook. In 1949 he suffered a medical accident which left him severly handicapped. He was confined to the VA Hospital in Tomah, Wisconsin.

Dorothy was born 18 May 1912, in St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter of Arthur and Tibby (Anderson) Dahl of Ella, Wisconsin. Dorothy died 11 May 1959, in Whittier, California, and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Whittier.

ENRY MICHALSKY:
Henry was born on 20 October 1907 in Soltau, Germany, the son of August Wilhelm and Maria (Timme) Michalsky. In 1980 when he and Vera celebrated their golden wedding anniversary they went to Germany to visit Henry's relatives.

Henry owned and operated a shoe repair store until his retirement in 1977. Henry died 10 September 1980 and is buried in St. Paul.

EORGE EDWARD BIEDERMAN:
George was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps Company in 1933 and 1934. The base pay for the young men of the C.C.C. was thirty dollars per month and work-camp housing. Historically the work of the Corps was in reforestation, developing shelter belts and beautification and restoration of state parks. George was employed in the Durand and Phillips, Wisconsin, areas in this endeavor. He owned and operated a barber shop and retired in 1978. He and his family lived in Cross Plains, Wisconsin.

Lavina was born 2 June 1917 in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Mary "Minnie" (Reisdorf) Haag. Lavina died 3 October 1982 in Cross Plains, Wisconsin, and is buried there in the St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.

ELEN MARIE BIEDERMAN:
Helen graduated from Durand High School in 1935. Helen worked as a supper club waitress for over thirty years, in clubs in Watertown, Delafield and Hartland. At her retirement party, after having worked twenty-four years at the Hartland Inn, she was given a "royal send-off." She was hailed as the "Grande Dame" of Waukesha County. Hundreds of customers, family and friends gathered for the occasion to pay tribute to Helen. She was given recognition for her work record: for never having missed an appointed day of work, or "called in sick." There was unanimous agreement that Helen always had a way of keeping everyone smiling and laughing--even in some distressing situations. Since her retirement, she has been enjoing flower gardening and travel.

ILLIAM DITTMAN:
William "Bill" was born 10 November 1918, son of George and Helen Marie (Meyer) Dittmann of Watertown. He died 26 March 1986 in Watertown.     

Bill owned and operated Printer Products, Inc. He was a WWII veteran and was a two time recipient of the Bronze Star. He retired in 1978 after thirty years of military service. He attain the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard, Reserves. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an "outdoor enthusiast."
