He married CHARLOTTE ARLENE KENNADAY703 10 October 1953 in Medford, Oregon704, daughter of TOM KENNADAY and GLADYS. She was born 28 October 1933 in Saratoga, Wyoming704.

ORNELL ALEXANDER SABO, JR.:
Cornell Alexander Sabo, Jr. was born on 31 December 1933, at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, to Cornell and Bessie Sabo. He was the first of four children.

Cornell attended schools in Chicago, Santa Monica, California, Portland, Oregon, Rouge River Academy, Medford, Oregon and graduated from high school at Columbia Academy, Battleground, Washington on 15 May 1952.

He was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1953, in the Medical Corps. He did his tour of duty in Germany in the same city as his dad was stationed. He received his honorable discharge in 1961.

After attending Oregon Technical Institute, Cornell graduated on 12 June 1959, as a Medical Technologist. He worked at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, as a Medical Technologist and Histo-Technician from 1959 to 1995, retiring in September of 1995.

Cornell married Charlotte Arlene Kennaday on October 10, 1953, in Medford, Oregon. They had three children: Brenda Sue, born 22 March 1958 in Klamath Falls, Oregon; Randy Eugene, born 7 July 1959 in Medford, Oregon; and Teresa Lynn, born 19 August 1960 in Medford, Oregon.

Cornell and Charlene currently live in Medford, Oregon.

His interests and hobbies are motorcylcles, 4-wheelers, sailing, camping, biking, and mountain climbing.

HARLOTTE ARLENE KENNADAY:
Charlotte (Charlene) Arlene Kennaday was born on 29 October 1933, in Saratoga, Wyoming to Tom and Gladys Kennaday. She was the first of three children.

She attended schools in Saratoga, Wyoming, Rogue River Academy, Medford, Oregon and graduated from high school at Laurelwood Academy on 7 May 1951.

She worked for Harry and David Packing Plant as a typist for three years.

She married Cornell Alexander Sabo, Jr. on 10 October 1953 in Medford, Oregon and three children were born, Brenda, Randy, and Teresa.
Charlene attended the Southern Oregon School of Practical Nursing and graduated in August of 1968. She worked at Rogue Valley Medical Center as an LPN since 1968 and retired in 1996.
Her hobbies are crocheting, camping, biking, reading, 4-wheeling, raising cactus and gardening.

  Notes for TERESA LYNN SABO:
Teresa Lynn Sabo, was born on a hot summer day in Medford Oregon on 19 August 1960, to Cornell and Charlene Sabo. She was the grand finale of three children and born with the most dazzling red hair of any other family member which thrilled her parents immensely!

She attended Rogue River Junior Academy in Medford, Oregon for ten years; then went to Milo Academy where she also worked at Thunderbird Furniture and graduated in May of 1979. Upon completion of her senior year at Milo, she headed north to the Walla Walla Valley. There she got her first "real" job and attended Walla Walla Community College for one year. After living there for three years, she moved to the east coast where she joined her sister and lived there for five years in the mass confusion of Washington, D.C. There she worked at a plant nursery and did private duty nursing.

While she was working as a private nurse, she met the man of her dreams. He swept her off her feet and they were married on 19 November 1989, in Medford, Oregon. His name is Tom Claridge and he is from the Walla Walla Valley. He went to Walla Walla College for two years, then went on to pursue his career as a carpenter. He built them a lovely home in Kalispell, Montana in the beautiful Flathead Valley, 25 miles from Glacier National Park. There they enjoy many of the recreational activities the valley has to offer. Their dog, Tikka, and cat, Lucky, make their family complete.

Work has recently taken Tom and Teresa to the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area; and living next to the ballpark in Arlington, they have become avid "Texas Ranger" baseball fans.

  Notes for TOMMY JAY CLARIDGE:
Tommy Jay Claridge, was born on 19 September 1954 to David and Bertha Claridge in Spearfish, South Dakota. He was the third child of seven children. His mother died in August of 1961 of complications after surgery. His father married Marie Klein in June of 1962 and then she died in February of 1964. His father then married again to Esther Triebwasser on 4 July 1964, and they have been married for 34 years.

Tommy attended Walla Walla College and after two years he left to pursue other interest and has been involved in the construction business ever since.

Some of his recreational interest are downhill skiing, snowmobiling, backpacking, and flying ultralight aircraft. .


182. HARRIET JANET6 SABO (BESSIE MAY5 MINDER, BENJAMIN4, HENRY LONG3, BENJAMIN2, JOHN1)705 was born 15 February 1936 in Hinsdale, DuPage County, Illinois705. She married RICHARD DEVARR PFLUGRAD705 17 June 1956 in Medford, Oregon705, son of ARNOLD PFLUGRAD and DOROTHY EWING. He was born 27 March 1934 in Milton, Oregon706.

ARRIET JANET SABO:
Harriet Janet Sabo was born in Hinsdale, Illinois on 15 February 1936. She was the second child of four children born to Cornell and Bessie Sabo.

She attended elementary schools in Chicago, Santa Monica, California, Portland, Oregon, and Medford, Oregon. She graduated from Rogue River Academy in 1953. Then attended the first quarter of college at Pacific Union College, Angwin, California. Because of her father being in the U.S. Army in 1954, she left college and went with the family over to Germany for six months. She missed school so she flew back to enter Walla Walla College in College Place, Washington and was there for two years taking the secretarial course.

She met her husband, Richard Pflugrad, at Walla Walla College and they were married 17 June 1956. Since her husband was a teacher, they moved to Bandon, Oegon where he taught the upper grades in a small church school. Their first two children were born while they resided in Bandon, Pamela Sue, born 5 October 1957 and Cynthia Mae, born 14 January 1959. Eventually, they moved to Prospect, Oregon and Eagle Point, Oregon, where Richard taught school for 25+ years. Another daughter was born during this time period who was Kathryn Denise, born 17 July 1961. A final move to Medford, Oregon, where they have lived for 27 years.

Harriet was a secretary at heart and worked in an insurance office in Walla Walla the first year of married life. Then she was an insurance agent for 2 years after moving to Bandon. Having three children then kept Harriet at home taking care of the girls which she enjoyed for about 12 years along with teaching piano lessons, taking in ironing, babysitting and also selling Avon when Kathy was in a special speech kindergarten at age 4. Harriet played the organ and piano for church for years and also worked in the children's departments in sabbath school. When the children were all into church school, Harriet went to work for her brother-in-law, being a dental assistant for eight years. Then she was employed at the Rogue Valley Medical Center for 20 years working as a ward clerk, medical records clerk and finally realized her lifelong dream--medical transcripton (after taking a class in transcription at Rogue Community College for one year). She worked as a medical transcriptionist in the hospital setting for seven years and retired in November of 1997.

Her hobbies include her grandchildren, photography, crocheting, sewing, making scrapbooks of family pictures, genealogy, reading, piano, organ, gardening, recipe collecting, traveling, and camping on the coast and in the mountains.

ICHARD DEVARR PFLUGRAD:
Richard DeVar Pflugrad was born on 27 March 1934 at Milton, Oregon. He was the third child of four children born to Arnold and Dorothy Pflugrad.

At the age of four, the family moved to Pendleton, Oregon where his father worked for Harris Pine Mills for 35 years. Richard attended the SDA church school in Pendleton, Laurelwood Academy at Gaston, Oregon and finally to Walla Walla College graduating in 1957.

He married Harriet Janet Sabo on 17 June 1956, in Medford, Oregon. They moved to Bandon, Oregon in 1957 where he taught church school for two years. Two children were born while in Bandon, Pamela Sue, 5 October 1957 and Cynthia Mae on 14 January 1959. Moved to Sandy, Oregon for one year and then on to Prospect, Oregon where he taught school for six years. Another daughter was born, Kathryn Denise, on 19 July 1961. Then a move to Eagle Point where he taught school for 19 years in White City (total of 27 years). He retired in March of 1985, because of frequent migraine headaches and has been on a medical disability since that time.

Richard's father, Arnold, passed away 17 June 1966, of pancreatic cancer at age 65 in Medford, Oregon. Richard was 32 at this time. His mother, Dorothy, passed away 21 August 1983 of kidney failure at age 73 in Portland, Oregon.

Richard and Harriet have been living in Medford, Oregon for the last 27 years.

His hobbies include weather watching, ham radio, gardening, listening to music, camping, and traveling.

Kathryn Denise Pflugrad was born on 19 July 1961 at Central Point, Oregon. She was the third of three children born to Richard and Harriet Pflugrad.

Kathy attended Rogue River Junior Academy, Eagle Point Elementary, and Milo Academy graduating in 1980. She took the CNA course and worked in that field for approximately a year. She then went into vocational training working at Goodwill for four years. Since 1988, she has been working as a part-time crew person at Carl's Jr. and is on medical disability.

She has lived next door to her parents in a small guest house for the last 13 years in Medford, Oregon.

Her interests and hobbies are reading, listening to CD's, watching sitcoms and videos, beadwork, hook rugs, playing games on the computer, cats (with Garfield being her favorite), visiting with senior citizens and helping anyone in the neighborhood caring for their animals, mail, etc. when they are out of town. .


183. JUDITH ELEANOR6 SABO (BESSIE MAY5 MINDER, BENJAMIN4, HENRY LONG3, BENJAMIN2, JOHN1)707 was born 16 January 1940 in Hinsdale, DuPage County, Illinois707. She married D.M.D. J. LOYD WOOD707 21 August 1960 in Medford, Oregon707. He was born 01 September 1937 in Southland, Texas708.

UDITH ELEANOR SABO:
Judy says: "They tell me I was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, on 16 January 1940, along with a nursery full of other Judys." She was the third in a family of four children. She started school in Portland, Oregon, at the age of five years. Her family then moved to Ashland, Oregon, in the fall of 1947 and she then attended Rogue River Academy. In the middle of her freshman year, she moved to Germany (because her father was in the U.S. Army) where she finished the year by correspondence. The following year, she went to school for one semester in Heilbronn, then they discontinued her class so she finished that year in an Army boarding school in Heidelburg.

The family arrived back in Medford, Oregon in the summer of 1955, they found that Rogue River Academy was no longer a 12-grade school and that Milo Academy was just opening--about 60 miles from home. She finished her high school education at Milo, graduating in 1957. She attended Walla Walla College and La Serra College, but quit school to get married 21 August 1960, to J. Loyd Wood.

They have three sons: Jeffery Cornell, Brian Jay, and Jonathan Allan.

In 1983, she graduated from the LPN program at Rogue Community College and did private duty nursing for several years along with working with Jay in the dental office when needed. When Jon was in college, she went to work full time in the office.

Her hobbies are her grandkids--all seven of them!, E-mail, reading, camping, gardening, and yard sales.

.M.D. J. LOYD WOOD:
J. Loyd Wood, was born in Southland, Texas, at home on a cotton farm on 1 September 1937. He is the oldest child and has two younger sisters.

He attended Southland, Texas schools through the fifth grade. His family moved to California where he attended a variety of schools due to numerous moves. His family then moved to Oregon and he graduated from Talent, Oregon high school in 1955. He attended Oregon Technical Institute and graduated in 1962 as an X-ray technician. In 1964, he graduated from Southern Oregon College, Ashland, Oregon and then attended Loma Linda University Dental School for four years graduating in 1968. He and Judy moved to Medford, Oregon and took over the dental office of his father-in-law, Cornell Sabo.

On 21 August 1960, J. Loyd married Judy Sabo and they have three sons: Jeffery Cornell born 30 December 1961; Brian Jay, born 20 December 1963 (while J. Loyd was on the coast fishing), and Jonathan Allan, born 28 December 1967.

The things that he enjoys doing for fun are spending time with his grandkids, raising black angus cattle, fishing and hunting (male bonding time).
