Notes for CHARYSSE AMBER MINDER: Charysse Amber Minder, the third child born to David and Joyce (Wirth) Minder, was born in Red Wing, Minnesota. She lived in Pierce County, Wisconsin until going to her first year of college in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She graduated from Ellsworth High School on 24 May 1966. She is now attending UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Pierce County Herald: Charysse Minder, Ellsworth Senior High School girls basketball player, broke a team record for most points scored by a local player during last Thursday's game against St. Croix Falls. Minder surpassed Karen Fenske's mark to become the all-time EHS scoring leader. Thursday's action was stopped momentarily for an announcement of her accomplishment over the public address system. Pierce County Herald: Charysse Minder on basketball team which finished 4th-Charysse Minder, a senior at Ellsworth High School, played on a Colfax-based Wisconsin Viking Club Red girls Amateur Athletic Union basketball team which finished fourth at the 1995 AAU Junior Olympics national tournament held August 1-5 at Des Moines, Iowa. Pierce County Herald: Charysse Minder, an Ellsworth Senior High School graduate, will transfer to UW-Stout from St. Cloud, Minnesota, State to play basketball. As a freshman at St. Cloud, Minder was the team's second leading rebounder, pulling down 6.3 rebounds in 27 games. Minder started 17 games for the 8-19 Huskies, an NCAA Division 11 school that plays in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Minder, at five-foot 11-inches, will play as a wing guard for the Blue Devils and averaged 6.1 points at St. Cloud. At Ellwsorth, Minder was a three-time all-Middle Border selection, was the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder, and averaged 17.6 points and 10.1 rebounds as a senior. UW-Stout, a member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, tied for the conference title last season with a 14-2 league record, 19-8 overall. The Blue Devils advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. Stout opens their 1997-98 campaign November 22 by playing in the Buffalo, N.Y. State tournament. . |

On 22 October 1972 at 9:30 p.m. at the age of 2 months and 24 days he died in the church nursery of SIDS. Dr. E.R. Jonas pronounced him dead. Winberg Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral. He is buried at Beldenville Cemetery next to his great grandmother, Delia (O'Connor) Minder. |
