46. Laurence PEARSON was born in 1785 in Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. Laurence was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1785. The son of Christian Pearson who also was born in Bucks County, Pa. He was buried in Feb 1872 in Pearson Family Cemetary, Clay Cope Farm. Laurence was buried in the Pearson Cemetary located in the Lees Valley Community. 12 miles north of Rogersville, Tn. on route 66. The cemetary is behind the house on the Clay Cope Farm he was buried in February 1872. This was the property of Laurence Pearson and could possibly have been the orginal farm the family purchased when they arrived from Bucks Co., Pa. As noted elsewhere in this report we belive that Christian and his wife were buried also in the cemetary noted! He died on 19 Feb 1872 in Hawkins County, Tennessee [Lees Valley Com. Laurence died in Hawkins County, evidently on the farm in the 3rd district, Lee Valley Community. I have a copy of the wills and deeds of Laurence in relationship to the farm. Laurence spent his lifetime in Hawkins County.

to Elizabeth [DeVault] PEARSON (daughter of Abraham DEVAULT)
about 1828 in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. Elizabeth [DeVault]
PEARSON was born in 1800 in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. She was buried in Jan
1884 in On Pearson home farm in Lee Valley Hwy 66. She died on 7 Jan 1884 in
Hawkins Co., Tennessee. Elizabeth DeVault was the daughter of Abraham DeVault
of Hawkins Co. Tennessee. She was buried with her husband Laurence Pearson son
of Christian Pearson, at the family cemetary behind their home on what is now
called the Clay Cope Farm. The farm is owned by a Dr. Grigsby and I have a copy
of the deed for the property which I received from him a few years ago. He has
a practice in Kingsport, Tn. There has been some mistakes in much of the material
I have encountered on the internet, Familysearch.com [LSD], concerning This
Elizabeth being connected somehow to the Lawrence who is the father of Christian
and grand-father of this Lawrence. We do no know the surname of his Elizabeth.
But confirmed by the cemetary stone, records from Hawkins Co. Tn and other sources
this is the Elizabeth who was marred to Lawrence son of Christian. Laurence
PEARSON and Elizabeth [DeVault] PEARSON had the following children:
