88. Alonzo J. PEARSON was born on 8 Dec 1894 in Howards Quarter, Claiborne Co., Tennessee. He was baptized in 1948 in Maryville, Tennessee [Everett Hills Bapt]. Everett Hill Baptist did not have a baptistry at
the time so Dad and brother James E. were baptized
at the Broadway Baptist Church. He was buried in Mar 1965 in Grandview Cemetary, Maryville, Tn.. He died on 2 Mar 1965 in Maryville, Tennesee [Blount Mem Hosp]. Dad died on my sister Nancy's birthday March 2nd. Dad was born at Howards Quarter in Claiborne Co.His dad and mother later moved to their home in Lone Mountain, Tennessee. All of William Ace's children were born at Howards Quarter on the farm there,also Wm H.'s, children were born there! Lon served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He served in France during 1917-1918. He worked at Lyons View Hospital in Knoxville, Tn., Served as a guard at the State Prison Petros, Tn. In 1935 he moved to Johnson City, Tn. with his family and was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital there until 1943. He worked at Oak Ridge, Tn. For Tennessee Eastman Corp on the Manhattan Project, where the Atomic Bomb was built near the close of World War II. Dad later worked as Highway Inspector for the State of Tennessee. He passed away on March 2, 1965 and is buried at Grandview Cemetary in Maryville, Tn.

He was married to Reba Marie HITSON (daughter of William M. HITSON and Josephine WHITE) on 4 Jan 1926 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Reba Marie HITSON was born on 1 Dec 1910 in Monroe County, Tennessee. Alonzo J. PEARSON and Reba Marie HITSON had the following children:
