Adolphus Odom.88. James I. (Jim) Odom
(1) was born on 1 Oct 1841. He died
on 5 May 1913. Served in the 50th Al. Infantry under Captain B. M. Long.
He participated in many major battles, Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge. He was
wonded at Shiloh and was captured 28 July 1864 west of Atlanta. He was paroled
on 4 March 1865 but was not exchanged until after the war was over. He was married
to Caroline Paralee Thompson.
