On this 26th day of November A.D. One thousand eight hundred and fifty,
personally appeared befroe me a Justice of the peace, within and for the County
and State aforesaid James Allison, aged fifty-five years, a resident of the
county of Dade, in the State of Missouri, who being duly sworn according to
law, declares, that he is the identical James Allison, who was a private in the
Company commanded by Captain Edward Robison, in the third Regiment of Tennessee
Militia, commanded by Colonel Rallston, in the 2nd Division commanded by Major
General William Carroll, in the war with Great Britain, declared by the United
States on the 18th day of June 1812. That he was drafted at Smith County, in
the State of Tennessee, on or about the 8th day of October A.D. 1814 for the
term of six months, and continued in actual service in said was for the term of
six months, and was honorably discharged at Nashville, in the state of
Tennessee, on the 13th day of May A.D. 1815, as will appear by his original
certificate of discharge herewith presented, or by the muster rolls of said
company.
He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to
which he may be entitled under the "act granting bounty land to certain officers
and soldiers who have been engaged in the military service of the United
State," passed September 28th, 1850.

At his residence, 9 miles southwest of Greenfield, Missouri, Novermeber 29, 1877, James Allison, aed 87 years.
Major Allison (as he was commonly called) had lived in this section fo country for about 43 years. He was born in South Carolina in 1790, and moved to Tennessee in early life, and from that state to this county. he was a soldier in the war of 1812 and was with General Jackson at New Orleans.
Major Allison had been a member of the Baptist Church for 62 years, and so lived and acted that the verdict of all who knew him is00That a good man has gone to that world byod the river of death.
The funeral was preached at the Presbyterian Church in this place, on Saturday last by Rev. Z. T. Eaton.
He was buried in Greenfield Cem., Dade Co., Missouri. He has reference number 254. He was married to Jane ZUMWALT in Oct 1852 in , Dade Co., Missouri.

255. Jane ZUMWALT was born on 25 Nov 1813. She died on 3 Feb 1899 in Greenfield, Dade, Missouri. She has reference number 255. Children were:
