Descendants of Patrick Findlen
Patrick Findlen (Finalon, Finlan, Finland) settled on the western
bank of the Aroostook River in Plymouth Grant, Maine (later Fort Fairfield) on
or about 1837. He was born in 1812 in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland. He
married Ann Nolan in County Wexford in 1836. He left Ireland for America with
his brother Mike in 1837, leaving Ann in Ireland until he became established
in his new country. His descendants today continue to be found primarily in the
Boston area, and in and around Fort Fairfield, Maine.
