THE PRESTON FAMILY OF RIVIERE-AU-RENARD, QUEBEC, CANADA I am searching for information about my great-grandparents, Joseph Preston and Ann Dunn of Canada, parents of the late Jerry F. Preston of Braintree, MA. Jerry was born August 2, l892 and died on December 10, 1992. He was a native of Riviere-Au-Renard, Quebec, Canada and came to the United States sometime around 1912. He was married to a Germaine L'esperence. If anyone could offer any information that would help me in my research, I would greatly appreciate it. THE ROMBEIRO FAMILY OF PONTA DELGADA, AZORES, PORTUGAL Also researching ancestors of the late Jose' Inacio Rombeiro, father of the late Manuel Inacio Rombeiro (aka Manuel Enos-born February 19, 1862 in Ponta Delgada Portugal and died December 1937 in Provincetown, Massachusetts, USA) and son of a Manoel Ignacio and Claudina Emilia. Jose' was married to a Claudina de Jesus, daughter of Joao de Teves and Maria de Jesus. If you are related to any of the above individuals, please contact me. There are other relatives, in addition to myself, who are also doing genealogy research in this family and we are anxious to learn more and we have much information to share. We have "heard" that the surname "Rombeiro" was created to make it easier to pronounce in Portuguese and may have originally been Romberg, or Romburg or something similar.
