Progress! I have traced my branch of the Randall family back to Jacob Wesley Randall in Union Co,Il. There he married a Augusta Davie in 1865, Jacob shows up on the 1850 fed census as living with a James Swinford fm S.C. and wife Jane (presumably formerly a Randall) fm N.C. Jacob is listed as being born in Tenn in 1848. He is listed with a Emiline age 23 (maybe mother?) and William age 18. so either Jane or Emiline would be mother. if anyone has possible info help is appreciated. CORBIT@CMORTGAGE.COM.
