1. MOSES¹ REGENSBURG He married JEANNETTE LIFFMAN. She was born 1814 in Frankfurt Germany, and died April 01, 1883 in New York, New York.

Notes for MOSES REGENSBURG:
Nothing is known about Moses. Jeannette Regensburg (daughter of Mortimer) told me that "he just wasn't discussed". She had always assumed he was dead but never knew the details.

You can imagine Jeannette's surprise when I discovered and informed her that she and her great-grandmother shared the same first name. Then the hunt for her remains began which ended with the discovery that she is buried at Brooklyn Maimonides Cemetery, Empire City Section.

The 1870 and 1880 census confirm that Edwards' mother Jeannette resided with Edward and Mary for the remainder of her life. The census lists her marital status as "widow".
