Edward Regensburg began the manufacturing of cigars in 1867. He employed all of his children, his brother, and his brothers children.

The 1900 Census lists his home at: 113 Lenox Avenue, New York

E. Regensburg & Sons, trading as Admiration Cigars, was incorporated on April 3, 1903. The number of directors was listed as four and were as follows:

Edward was buried in MT. Hope Cemetery in a plot near his brother Louis in 1907 and was disinterred and removed to Salem Fields on June 18, 1910.

When I first spoke to Jeannette in the early 1980's she recalled her grandmother's name as " Yetta", she said at least that's what the children called her.

It has been said that Mary enjoyed a good cigar and game of cards. Her card table is said to be located in the Mausoleum basement at Salem Fields.
Mary was much loved and well thought of by her grandchildren.
