Thomas Ray Brabham of Springfield passed away August 29, 1988 at the age of 94. He was born on the family farm in Springfield, November 13,1893, to James and Harriet Brabham where he lived until his death. He attendedWillakenzie Grade School. He worked on the farm until World War I. He seved in France. When he returned from the war he went to work for Booth Kelly Lumber Company. He worked as a planerman until 1942, when he returned to the farming until he retired in the 1970's. He was active in Willamalane Square Dancing Club and the Willakenize Grange. He is Survived by his 2 children: Larry Brabham of Springfield, Barbara Cochrane of San Carlos California; and 4 step-children;Fred Hawkins of Springfield, Ed Hawkins of Washington, Dorothy Sather of Eugene, Melva Craighill of Eugene; a sister, Edith Hale of Noti; 3 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 1988 at 1 p.m. in Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 7305 Main st. Springfield, with Reverend Fred Lydum officiating. Entombment will be in Springfield Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.pm and Friday, 9 to 11 a.m.
