Robert Luke (b. 13 May 1846, d. 1892)

Robert Luke (son of John Luke and Isabella Guthrie) was born 13 May 1846 in Waulkmill, and died 1892 in Edinburgh. He married Mary Oswald Mackenzie on 21 November 1878 in 5 Rosebank Terrace, Edinburgh., daughter of David Mackenzie and Mary Hannan.

Notes for Robert Luke:
Began life as a paper maker, but moved to Edinburgh, where he probably became a Wine & Spirit Merchant. He lived at 25 St James Square.
He married the daughter of a printer proprietor, and probably became a partner in the business of
McKenzie and Storie.
The marriage ceremony was carried out in Edinburgh, by the minister from the church at Denny.
At the 1881 census, they were living at 52 Broughton Street, Edinburgh.
