Archibald Proudfoot (b. 1847)

Archibald Proudfoot (son of William Proudfoot and Jane Maxwell) was born 1847 in Glasgow. He married Margaret Colley on 1 September 1869 in South Grays Close, Edinburgh, daughter of George Colley and Margaret McLean.

Notes for Archibald Proudfoot:
Archibald was a bandsman in the 42nd Highlanders, and was stationed at Edinburgh Castle when he met Margaret, he later became a gasworks labourer.
At the 1881 census, he is listed as a Nail Maker, living at 2 Castle Wynd, Edinburgh.
