He was married to Anna Catharina HENKELER on 27 May 1819 in Buke, Germany. Ferdinand Tegethoff and Anna Catharina HENKELER had the following children:

3 ii. Joannes Conradus Tegethoff was born on 17 Jun 1819 in Buke, Germany.
4 iii. Joannes Josephus Tegethoff was born on 23 Oct 1821 in Buke, Germany.
+5 iv. Johan Anton Tegethoff.
+6 v. Louisa Tegethoff.
7 vi. Carola Tegethoff was born on 12 Nov 1828.
8 vii. Louise Tegethoff was born on 19 May 1833.
9 viii. Joannes Tegethoff was born on 16 Feb 1835.
