Descendants of Jacques POISSANT DIT LASALINE
The names on this web site are descendents of JacQues Poissant
dit LaSaline, a French Marine who was sent to New France (Quebec-Montreal, Canada)
area in the late 1600s. After his discharge, he married and settled along the
banks of the St. Laurence River. His descendants migrated to many states in
the United States and many are still living in Canada.
We do have one famous descendant: Madonna, the singer-actress is a descendant
from her mother's ancestors.
