HEZEKIAH II TREADWELL (b. 14 Feb 1740/41, d. 19 Jan 1826)

HEZEKIAH II TREADWELL (son of HEZEKIAH TREADWELL and MEHITABLE FAIRCHILD) was born 14 Feb 1740/41 in NEW MILFORD, CT., and died 19 Jan 1826 in TREADWELL, N.Y.. He married SALLY BANKS on 1763.

Notes for HEZEKIAH II TREADWELL:
1790 census was living in New Milford, CT., with his wife, and children, Samuel, Lucretia.
Was living in Stratford, CT as of 30 Apr 1813, but back in New Milford, CT., on 3 Apr 1816.
In later years of life he removed to Croton, N.Y. (now Treadwell, N.Y.). (1835).
During the Revolution War he was anxious to serve, but on account of his size, he being very small of stature, they would not accept him. The Army furnished him work making clothes, for the soldiers and as a bounty gave to him a large tract of land in Branford Co., Pa. If he would go and occupy it. He did not care to go, or any of his sons what to move so far away. His daughter Catherine, however, was soon to marry to Silas Beardsley, and she would go if Silas would, he agreed to go.
