THOMAS LAKE (b. 09 Feb 1643/44, d. 14 Dec 1715)

THOMAS LAKE (son of HENRY LAKE and ALICE IREOD) was born 09 Feb 1643/44 in SALEM ESSEX, MA., and died 14 Dec 1715 in LITTLE COMPTON, NEWPORT, R.I.. He married SARAH PEET on 25 Mar 1685, daughter of JOHN PEET and SARAH OSBORN.

Notes for THOMAS LAKE:
After his mother Mrs. Henry (Alice) Lake was executed as a witch Abt 1650. Thomas was brought up in the family of his uncle, Thomas Lake of Dorchester. His father Henry Lake left when his wife was arrested as a witch.
He was a soldier under Capt. Benjamin Church in the King Philip's War. On 1 Nov 1676, in Plymouth Colony he was granted 100 acres at Puncatest (Tiverton R.I.) for his services in the war.He had to share this with his brother David.
