ELIZABETH ELSIE GALLUP (b. 26 Dec 1728, d. 1833)

ELIZABETH ELSIE GALLUP (daughter of SAMUEL GALLUP and MEHITABLE BLOUNT) was born 26 Dec 1728 in STONINGTON, CT, and died 1833 in WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS.. She married NEHEMIAH WILLIAMS on Abt. 1753, son of ROBERT WILLIAMS II and MARTHA WILLIAMS.

Notes for ELIZABETH ELSIE GALLUP:
The tradition is manifold and wholly credible, that while Nehemiah Williams was absent from home in the Bennington Battle, one child lay dead in the house, and another drying: while the wretched mother, whose maiden name was Elsie Gallup, heard distincty all day the booming of the cannon.
