Notes for THOMAS HAWLEY: Thomas came to America with his brother Joseph in 1629 from Parwich, England. Joseph moved to Stratford, Conn., and Thomas moved to Roxbury, Mass. He was married to emma Hawley and had one son Thomas born 8 Oct 1651 and died in Child birth. His wife Emma died 11 Nov 1651. Thomas married again Dorothy Harbittle Lamb and had four children. Thomas was an earlier settler in Roxbury, Mass., and was slain by Indians while serving with Captain Wardsworth at Sudbury, Mass., on 27 Apr 1676. Thomas and his brother Joseph, came to America on a ship in the Winthrop Fleet.
