Abraham was one of the first settlers of Guilford, Ct. and was one of the 25 who signed the Plantation Covenant in 1639. On 30 Apr 1646 he was appointed "overseer of the mill bay dams or floodgates", on 6 June 1651 he was made assessor and in June 1653, Townsman.
