4. JOHN⁴ BRACKEN (JOHN³, WILLIAM², THOMAS¹) was born 1730 in New Castle County, Delaware, and died 1810 in Transylvania, North Carolina. He married TINSLEY.

Notes for JOHN BRACKEN:
It appears John was born in New Castle, Delaware and probably married there. His children were partly born in Delaware and partly in Orange County, North Carolina. He lived in Orange County from about 1763 to after 1779. He was in Surry County, North Carolina in 1782, in Rowan County, North Carolina in 1788-89, in Wilkes County, North Carolina in 1793, was in Greenville County, South Carolina in 1800, in Buncombe County, North Carolina (Transylvania now) in 1810 and died there after 1810.

	i.	JOHN⁵ BRACKEN.
	ii.	WILIAM BRACKEN.

5. THOMAS⁴ BRACKEN (JOHN³, WILLIAM², THOMAS¹) was born 1737 in Newcastle County, Delaware, and died 17 November 1793 in Rowan County, North Carolina. He married MARTHA MACHAN 31 January 1757 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Children of THOMAS BRACKEN and MARTHA MACHAN are:

	i.	THOMAS BRACKEN⁵ JR., b. Abt. 1758; d. 1793-1849; m. MARY BRINEGAR, 21 March 1788.
	ii.	EDWARD BRACKEN, b. Abt. 1760; d. 1847, Lawrence County, Alabama; m. BETSY JEFFREYS, 1801-1832.
	iii.	SAMUEL BRACKEN., b. Abt. 1762.
10.	iv.	JAMES BRACKEN, b. Abt. 1772, Rowan County, North Carolina; d. 1873, Lawrence County, Alabama.

6. WILLIAM BRACKEN⁴ SR. (JOHN³ BRACKEN, WILLIAM², THOMAS¹) was born Bef. 1742, and died 1773-1832. He married ABIGAIL 1773-1808.

Children of WILLIAM SR. and ABIGAIL are:

	i.		HANNAH⁵ BRACKEN, b. Aft. 1742; d. 1758-1836.
	ii.		WILLIAM BRACKEN JR.., b. 1763-1792; d. 1769-1871.

7. ISAAC⁴ BRACKEN (JOHN³, WILLIAM², THOMAS¹) was born Aft. 1742, and died 1774-1833. He married RACHEL STALKOP 31 August 1769 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Children of ISAAC BRACKEN and RACHEL STALKOP are:

	i.		ISAAC BRACKEN⁵ JR., b. 1763-1792; d. 1769-1871.
	ii.		RACHEL BRACKEN, b. 1763-1792; d. 1768-1874.
	iii.		HENRY BRACKEN, b. 1763-1792; d. 1769-1871.

8. JAMES⁴ BRACKEN (JOHN³, WILLIAM², THOMAS¹) was born Aft. 1743, and died 1761-1834. He married ROSE MCLAUGHLIN Abt. 1750 in Wilmington, Delaware.

Child of JAMES BRACKEN and ROSE MCLAUGHLIN is:

JANE⁵ BRACKEN, b. 16 July 1751; d. 1765-1845.
