Notes for WILLIAM LOUIS RHODES: Morgan County, Alabama, Marriage Book W-100: Louis Rhodes, 26 years old, 5'8", 142 lbs, native Alabamian, farming, married one time before, Baptist, Danville 2 William Louis Rhodes was a farmer in his early years. In 1940 or 1941, he went to work for Goodyear Mills, where he worked as a section foreman until Goodyear closed their cotton cord tire division in 1953. He was then employed with Decatur Iron and Steel Company and retired in 1971 after steel fell on him breaking both ankles. He died approximately two years later of a massive heart attack at age 66.
