10. AMOS3 RICHARDSON (JOHN2, BENJAMIN1) was born 15 October 1815 in St. Tammany's Parish, Louisiana, and died 24 July 1896 in Near Chester, Tyler County, Texas. He married ANNA PETERS 24 September 1835 in Lawrence County, Mississippi, daughter of JOSEPH PETERS and OLIVE RENTZ.

MOS RICHARDSON:
Amos was born in St. Tammany's Parish, Louisiana, and after his mother, Nancy Albritton died, his father took the family to Simpson County, Mississippi, where his older brother, John Jr., remained with his father. Both appear on the 1830 Simpson County census. Amos moved to Lawrence County, Mississippi, which was only a few miles away from his father.

Marriage bond in the amount of $200.00 was made to Joseph Peters in September 1835. Marriage license signed by J. Calkwell, Clerk, Lawrence County, Mississippi, solemnized 24 September 1835 and recorded in Volume 2, Page 158 in Lawrence County.

The 1840 census for Lawrence County, Mississippi shows Amos and Anna with three children. From the abstracts of the minutes of Hebron Baptist church where the Albrittons, Peters, Rentz and Richardsons were members as early as January 1845 in Louisiana, show Amos and Anna have moved to Louisiana and joined this church on 26 July 1845. On 26 July 1850 Amos and Anna are dismissed from the Church, after the death of Amos' father in Jasper County, Texas in March 1850.

Amos, Annie and their children move to Tyler County, Texas where they bought land from William Seamans in Tyler County on 28 February 1851 for $220.00. The deed is recorded in Book B page 340 Deed Index book, Tyler County, Texas.

Amos served the CSA with the Mt. Hope Home Guard in Tyler County, Texas for the duration of the war as a 4th Corporal.
