Notes for LUTHER EDWIN FINCHER: Luther served in the Cavalry during World War II in the Pacific campaign. He was in Luzon, the Phillipines and Tokyo, Japan. He retired as an electrician and was buried 30 May 1997 at Mytle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas. He never married. FINCHER Graveside services for Mr. Luther Edwin Fincher, age 70, will be conducted at Myrtle Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 1997, with the Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Mr. Fincher passed away on Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 1997 at Baylor Medical Center of Ennis. He was born in Ennis on June 5, 1926, the son of Him and Noma Richardson Fincher. Mr. Fincher served in the Phillipines Luzon Pacific Campaign during World War II. He was a member of Anthony Drive Baptist Church and was an electrician. He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Grady and Ethel Fincher of Ennis; a number of nieces and nephews, and a long time friend, Bobbie Faye Barnes. All arrangements are with Lawrence Funeral Home, Inc. |
