Frank William Speer (son of Daniel Witten Speer and Elizabeth Sprout Brien) was born November 30, 1862 in Jack Co., Tx, and died October 29, 1941 in Trail Cem., Dewey co., OK. He married Bell Viola McGlothin on August 23, 1885 in Palo Pinto Co., TX.

Notes for Frank William Speer:
Frank Speer was living in his log cabin on the banks of the South Canadian river when Sallie and Merchinson came to stay for a few days because they were living in a dugout about a mile east and they wanted the shelter for Sallie to give birth to Bonnie May.
Today, 1991, they are working to restore the log cabin fifty yards east of the origional location. If you go the South Side of the cabin, you can still see lead that was shot into the side of the building. Frank was being shot at by the "sod busters" because he was a "free grasser". They did not have a "run" for the land, it was just opened for settlement.
