Mattie E. Speer (daughter of Frank William Speer and Bell Viola McGlothin) was born May 25, 1890 in (Jack co.?) , TX., and died October 3, 1912 in Trail cem., Dewey co. Ok. She married Housten (Huse) Pridemore.

On Matties death certificate, signed by Housten Pridemore her husband, he said she was born may 9th 1891. She was 21 years, 4 mo. & 21 days old.
They were living in custer city, Custer co, Okla.
She had gotten out of the wagon, to open a gate--leaving her two small boys in the wagon, when the team bolted and she grabbed for them and was run over by the tream and wagon. Dr. O. W. Wright , Putnam, Dewey co . Okla. pronounced her dead. Cause of death, is continuous internal bleeding.
She was buried october 4, 1912 in the trail cemetery.
