On May 7,1686 he was a witness to the will of Johnathan Brooks and it is likely that Sarah, Wife of Johnathan Brooks, was his sister for on june 5, 1711 Valentine and Ann Mayo made a deed to "our beloved couzen" Johnathan Brooks (born December 4, 1684, son of Johnathan and sarah) for the 39 acres patented by Valentine Mayo in 1702.
