Surmans include Riggs, Boerema, Boerma, Reinertson, Lund, Harrison, Reynolds, Dillon, Weisler,Wiesler, Bourda and Crowley. Lunds, originally Petersson, immigrated from Asphyttan, Franebro Parish, Varmland, Sweden on April 22, 1881and settled in Fruitland Township, Muskegon Co., Mi. Tobias Reinertson immigrated from Christiansand, Norway in April 1900, also settling in Muskegon Co., Mi. Boermas, originally Boerema, came in the late 1860 and early 1870's from Gronigen Province, Netherlands to Ottawa and Muskegon Counties (Michigan).
