In all the archives researched it was very confusing since the name of Riggs was spelled Rigge, Rigg, Riggs, Wrigg, Wrigge, Rygg, Rygge, Wrygge, Ridges, Rigges, Rygges, Ridgis through out the documentation that follows. In the past as well as the present even between father and son, the name was spelled differently. In one graveyard in England, a father and 8 sons all have different spellings of their Surname.
In England they acquired Strangle Thorpe in Lincolnshire and Franham in Surrey. This information can be found in, "Berry's Visitation of Hants", the visitation of Sussex, pedigree from Hearld's College, London, and LDS Records, Visitation of Hamshire, VOL III, pp211 - 213.
