I'm looking for information on;Dr. Sheldon S. Rinehart.He had a pratice in Laporte and Freeland,Michigan. He had four wives and Carrie Cooper was one of them(last?)she was the mother of Floyd Leon Rinehart. He was a descendent of one of seven brothers who came to America during the American revolution as mercenary soldiers to fight for the British. They were called Hessin Mercenaries since they were sold to the British for one mark each by Prince Hessin.Probably about 1775-76. Dr. Sheldon Rinehart was in the Civil War and became a doctor after the war. If you have any info or happen to be related please let me know. I do have information on the Rinehart family tree after Sheldon S. Rinehart and would love to share it. |
