Effie Elvira Fish ⁽¹⁾ was born on Dec 26 1887 in Warren Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.⁽⁵⁶⁾ She died on Aug 17 1957 in Marietta, Ohio.⁽⁵⁶⁾ Her August 18, 1957 Marietta Times obituary reads as follows, "Mrs. Dayton Johnson - Mrs. Effie E. Johnson, 69, of Whipple, widow of Dayton E. Johnson, died Sunday at 12:15 p.m. in Marietta Memorial Hospital. - Born Dec. 26, 1887 in Warren Twp., she was the daughter of the late Roger and Elizabeth Thomas Fish. Her husband, Dayton E. Johnson, died May 13, 1953 - Surviving sons and daughters are Delbert of Newcomerstown, Carl of Williamstown, Kelmer of Marietta, Mrs. Orris Love and Mrs. Ralph Biehl of Whipple, and Mrs. Beman Thompson and Mrs. Jack Beaver, both of Marietta. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one brother, William Fish of Caldwell, and two sisters, Mrs. Glen Porter of Marietta Rt. 4 and Mrs. Cora Miller of Toronto. - Five children, Eva, Gladys, Chester, Virgil, and Dean, preceded her in death. - She was a member of Pinehurst Christian Church. - Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Doudna and McClure Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tunnel Cemetery. - Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of services." She was buried on Aug 20 1957 in Tunnel Cemetery, Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽⁵⁷⁾

She was married to Dayton Ellsworth Johnson (son of Perley Jacob Johnson and Elizabeth Ann Martin) on Feb 25 1907 in Wood County, West Virginia.⁽⁵⁸⁾ Dayton Ellsworth Johnson ⁽¹⁾ was born on Jun 3 1886 in Warren Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽⁵⁶⁾ He died on May 13 1953 in Whipple, Ohio. ⁽⁵⁶⁾ His May 13, 1953 Marietta Times obituary reads, "Dayton Ellsworth Johnson, 66, of Whipple, died suddenly at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the family home. Mr. Johnson resided at Sugar Plum a number of years before moving to Chesterhill a year ago to make his home. Two weeks ago he moved to Whipple. - He was born June 3, 1887, in Warren Twp., a son of the late Pearley and Elizabeth Martin Johnson.. He was married to Effie Fish, who survives with five sons and four daughters. They are Delbert Johnson of Newcomerstown; Carl Johnson of Williamstown; Dean Johnson of Whipple Rt. 2, Mrs. Ralph Biehl of Fleming, Mrs. Orris Lowe of Crooked Tree; Mrs. Beman Thompson and Leora Beaver of Marietta and Warren and Kelmer Johnson of Marietta. - Other survivors include three brothers, Herman Johnson of Marietta and Harley and Kenneth Johnson of Marietta Rt. 4; six sisters, Mrs. Bertha Fish of Caldwell, Mrs. Fred Roush and Mrs. Salter Nichols of Beverly, Mrs. Kathryn Bowen and Mrs. Chester Rollison of Marietta and Mrs. Blanche Gorrell of Massillon. Two sisters are deceased. - Mr. Johnson was a member of the Pinehurst Christian Church. Funeral arrangemnets are incomplete. The body is at the Doudna & McClure funeral home."
