Perley Wilbur Fish was born on Mar 20 1881 in Waterford Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽⁴⁵⁾ His name is given as James Fish on his birth record, Perlie E. in the 1900 census, Perley W. in his son, Norman's, obituary. He died on Jan 11 1960 in Marietta, Ohio. He was buried on Jan 14 1960 in Waterford Cemetery, Washington Co., Ohio.

He was married to Luverna "Vernie" Sampson (daughter of Peter Sampson and Rebecca Holliday) on Apr 4 1901 in Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽⁴⁶⁾ Perlie's funeral bulletin says they were married on April 6, 1902. Luverna "Vernie" Sampson was born about 1884. She died in 1912. She was buried in Waterford, Washington Co., Ohio. Perley Wilbur Fish and Luverna "Vernie" Sampson had the following children:
