FIRST GENERATION

1. John Locker⁽¹⁾ . According to Frances Howe Johnson, John was born in Scotland. I question this since John and his son, Walter are both listed in the 1787 tax census of Virginia in Loudoun Co. which is just across and up the Potomac River from Prince Georges Co., Maryland. The Locker family goes back three or four generations in Prince Georges Co., Maryland. Though I have not been able to make a connection, William Locker (Walter Locker's brother according to Frances Howe Johnson) was born in Maryland according to the 1850 Wood Co., Virginia Census.

There is also an Alexander Locker listed in the 1787 tax census in Loudoun Co. He shows up in Louisa Co., Virginia in 1810, 1820, and 1830. Alexander may have been a son of John Locker.

John Locker had the following children:
