THIRD GENERATION20. Thomas Wesley Locker
was born on Feb 8 1810 in Loudoun Co., Virginia.
(61) "Thomas Wesley Locker came to this county with his parents
in 1818, when he was but eight years old. He remembers the hardships his parents
had to endure, the country being all woods and the nearest neighbors living three,
four and five miles away. They had no free schools then, and the children's chances
for schooling were limited. They had no roads or conveniences as at present."

Locker (sometimes rendered Thomas W.) recieved a deed from George I. Davison,
in 1835, for one hundred acres of land apparently lying on Big Run, immediately
below the mouth of Jackson's run. This is the man who founded what is long known
as the old Locker farm, and this with, perhaps, other adjoining purchases, has
constituted the same... He has descendants in that vincintity yet." - Pioneers

He was married to Margaret Cadwell or Caldwell (daughter of
Peter Cadwell and Mary Harmer) on Dec 14 1843 in Wood
County, Virginia (now WV).(11)
