David "Sid" Orris Lowe was born on Mar 29 1923 in Lowell, Ohio.⁽⁵³⁾ He died on Aug 25 1987 in Caldwell, Ohio.⁽⁵³⁾ His obituary appeared in the Aug 27, 1987 edition of the Marietta Times and reads as follows, "CALDWELL - David O. "Sid" Lowe, 64, of Caldwell Rt. 4 died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 25, in his home after a short illness. - He was born March 29, 1923, near Lowell to John and Ethel Bell Lowe. - The World War II veteran was a retired employee of Baker & Noon Coal Co. in Dexter City. He was a member of American Legion 750 of Lowell, Veteran of Foreign Wars 5108 of Marietta and Whipple Community Church. - He is survived by his wife, Glenda Schwartz; a son, John of Lowell Rt. 2; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Sally) Saling of Caldwell Rt. 4; 11 grand children; three stepsons; two sisters, Ruth Morris of Whipple and Icyl Jarvis of Bartlett; and a brother, James of Caldwell Rt. 4. - He was preceded in death by his first wife, Garnet L. Johnson Lowe, and three sisters. - Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in McVay Funeral Home at Caldwell with the Rev. Nancy Schwartz and the Rev. Ronald Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Dudley Cemetery at Caldwell Rt. 4 with military rites. - Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday." He was buried on Aug 28 1987 in Dudley Cemetery, Caldwell, Ohio. Garnet Leona Johnson and David "Sid" Orris Lowe had the following children:
