in the September 23, 1954 editionof the Marietta Times and read as follows, "Harley
Franklin Johnson, 57, of Pinehurst, a plumber employed at Bergen Bros. in Marietta,
died last Saturday morning in his sleep at his home. - Mr. Johnson was a member
of the Modern Woodmen of America Lodge No. 4138 and the Pinehurst Christian church.
He was born Feb. 12, 1897, in Warren township, a son of the Perley and Elizabeth
Martin Johnson. On March 6, 1918, he was married to mrs. Edna Flannery, who
survives. - Surviving in addition to the widow are: a stepdaughter, Mrs. Roy
Newberry of Marietta; two brothers, Herman Johnson of Marietta and Kenneth Johnson
of Marietta Route 4, five sisters, Mrs. William Fish of Pleasant City; Mrs. Fred
Roush and Mrs. Slater Nichols of Beverly, and Mrs. Chester Robinson and Mrs.
Catherine Bowen of Marietta. One brother, Dayton, and one sister Mrs. Bernice
Roberts, preceded him in death. - Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30
p.m. at the Pinehurst Christian church with Evangelist C. J. Kirkpatrick officiating.
Burial in Tunnel cemetery."
He was married to Edna Flannery (daughter of
James Flannery and Elizabeth Rumbold) on Nov 6 1918.
