23. Jeanette "Nettie" A. Ritchie was born on May 16 1867 in Warren Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽²⁸⁾ She is listed as Jennett age 3 in the 1870 Census and Jeanetta age 13 in the 1880 Census. She is listed as Jenneta on her son's birth record in 1891. She died on Oct 2 1899 in Constitution, Warren Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.⁽⁵⁴⁾ Her obituary appeared in the Oct 2 1899 Marietta Daily Times; "Mrs. Nettie Burns, wife of John Burns, died at her home at Constitution, this morning at 7 o'clock; death being due to typhoid malaria. The deceased was 32 years of age and leaves three small children. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock and burial will be made at Gravel Bank." She was buried on Oct 3 1899 in Gravel Bank (Riverview) Cemetery near Constitution, Ohio.⁽⁹⁾ Her name is given as

She was married to John H. Burns (son of William A. Burns and Mary L. Livick) on Aug 6 1888 in Marietta, Ohio.⁽⁵⁵⁾ They were married by Thomas Gilferd Dickinson M.V.D., a Methodist Episcopal clergyman. John H. Burns⁽³⁸⁾ was born in Mar 1867 in Ohio. Jeanette "Nettie" A. Ritchie and John H. Burns had the following children:
