Ritchey(17) was born on Jul 4
1875 in Ohio.(13) She is named, no doubt,
after her grandmother. She died on Jan 29 1897 in probably Constitution, Ohio.
(13) She died at age 21. The Marietta Times
reported on February 3, 1897; "Mrs. Bud Gossett, a young married woman of
Constitution, died Saturday and was buried at Gravel Bank Sunday." She
was buried in Gravel Bank (Riverview) Cemetery near Constitution, Ohio.
(13) She is buried with her father and mother.
They all three share a small, four sided marker. Her side of the marker is
inscribed Katie Ritchey, July 4 1875 - Jan 29 1897.
She was married to Bud Gossett (son of Miles Gossett and Ara A. Strain) on Dec 23 1893 in Marietta, Ohio. (61) They were married by B. E. Guyton, a Justice of the Peace. Bud Gossett(38) was born about 1872.(38)
