Leroy "Roy" Gene Ritchie⁽¹⁰⁴⁾ was born on May 16 1925 in Constitution, Warren Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽¹³⁶⁾ He died on May 7 1992 in Marietta, Ohio. ⁽⁹⁾ His Marietta Times obituary reads: "Services for Leroy Gene Ritchie, 67, of 222 Elm Street, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the McClure- Schafer Funeral Home with the Rev. John Nunnally officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon today until the hour of the services. Mr. Ritchie died at 8:48 p.m. Thursday (May 7, 1992) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born May 6, 1925, in Marietta to Leslie D. and Myrtle Shears Ritchie. He attended Marietta High School. He was employed at the Marietta Paint and Color Co. for 20 years and was later head custodian for Marietta City Schools until his retirement in 1984. He attended the Fort Harmar Assembly Of God Church. He was a member of several bowling leagues. He married Pauline Anderson on August 14, 1944. Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Marilyn Perrine, Karen Dickinson, Debbie Green and Melissa Hearn, all of Marietta, Linda Ruf of Williamstown and Tammy Adkins of Cumming, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; three brothers, Lester of Williamstown and Gary and Mike of Marietta; and two sisters, Romona Williams of Marietta and Loretta Stephan of Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Ritchie and Bobby Ritchie." He was buried in East Lawn Memorial Park, Reno, Ohio.⁽⁹⁾

He was married to Dorothy Pauline Anderson (daughter of Edward Anderson and Evelyn Barris) on Aug 14 1944 in Washington County, Ohio. ⁽¹³⁷⁾ They were married by Henry W. Stoody, a minister. Leroy "Roy" Gene Ritchie and Dorothy Pauline Anderson had the following children:
