in the Marietta Times on Monday, June 26, 2000 and read; "Maysle G. Ritchie
Cozzens, 74, of Phillips Street, Marietta, died at 6:25 a.m. Saturday (June 24,
2000) at the Arbors at Marietta. - She was born March 19, 1926, in Constitution
to Wade Dillon and Ethel Sophronia Park Ritchie. She had grown up in the Washington
County Children's Home and had attended Marietta High School. She retired from
the B.F. Goodrich Co. as a cafeteria worker in 1985. She was a member of the
Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 458 and a former member of the
Women of the Moose. - She is survived by one son, Geoffrey Ritchie and his wife,
Pam, of Cairo. W.Va.; three daughters, Rhonda Strahler and her husband, Paul,
of Macksburg, Nancy D. Owens and her husband, Daniel E., and Melody Attaway and
her husband, Mike, all of Marietta; six grandchildren, Matt and Pete Waybright,
Angela Hess, Michael P. Attaway, Ryan Nichols and Vanessa Kremer: four great-grandchildren;
two brothers, Calvin and Bob Ritchie, both of Marietta; one sister, Nancy McBride
of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. - On Sept. 8, 1947, she married
Richard D. Cozzens. He died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her
parents; four brothers, Clyde, Parke, Bernard and Herschel Ritchie; two sisters,
Clara Jean Ritchie and Eileen Schuster; and one niece, Sidney Brasington. - Services
are at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial
is in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call until the hour of the services
at the funeral home."
