117. Earl Edward Ritchie was born on Apr 1 1922 in Marietta, Ohio. He died on Feb 18 2000 in Marietta, Ohio.(9) His Marietta Times obituary reads, "Earl E. Ritchie - Earl E. Ritchie, 77, of Jaycee Estates, Marietta, died at 10:25 p.m. Friday (Feb. 18, 2000) at the Arbors at Marietta. - He was born April 1, 1922, in Marietta to Earl A. and Mazie Adams Ritchie. He had attended Marietta High School and had served in the U.S. Army in the China Burma India Theatre and the Asiatic-Pacific Theater as a radio operator, sending and receiving official messages. After his discharge from the service, he had lived in Chicago and later at Alton, Kan., and Williamstown before returning to Marietta. - He had been a lumber salesman at Swan Lumber Co. and was also a ham radio operator. He was a member of the Rhythm Makers Orchestra as a guitarist and vocalist. He enjoyed country music and pitching horseshoes. - He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Poe, whom he married March 26, 1949; one son, Tim Ritchie and his wife, Gloria, of Marietta; two daughters, Barbara A. Ritchie, and Bonnie Hamilton and her husband, Tom, both of Marietta; four grandchildren. Nicole Ritchie, Bobby L. Ritchie. Cheryl Ritchie and Christy Hamilton; and one brother, Kenneth Ritchie of Ooltewah, Tenn. - He was preceded in death by one son, Robert E. Ritchie; his parents; two sisters; and one brother. - Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McClure-Schafer Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Gary Stowasser and the Rev. Clifford Nuss officiating. Burial is in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon today until the hour of the services."
He was buried on Feb 22 2000 in Gravel Bank (Riverview) Cemetery near Constitution, Ohio. He was refered to as "Little Earl" to distinguish him from his dad .

He was married to Elizabeth Poe on Mar 26 1949. Earl Edward Ritchie and Elizabeth Poe had the following children:
