39. Israel Amos Johnson was born on Mar 25 1873 in Dunham Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽⁷²⁾ He died on Jun 20 1959 in Vincent, Ohio. His obituary appeared in the Saturday Evening Jun 20 1959 Marietta Times and read as follows, "VINCENT - I. A. Johnson, 86, died Saturday at 5:30 a.m. at his home following several years of failing health. - He was born March 25, 1873, In Dunham Twp., a son of the late Charles W. and Mary Ritchie Johnson. He spent his entire life in Washington County where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Church of Christ. - Survivors include two sons, Willard I. Johnson of Belpre Rt. 1 and Martin Johnson of Vincent; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Maude L. Carpenter of Oak Park, Ill., and three grandchildren. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death. - The body is at Spencer Funeral Home at Belpre where funeral arrangements are incomplete."

He was married to Anne D. Wilmouth on Dec 5 1897 in Washington County, Ohio.⁽⁷³⁾ Anne D. Wilmouth was born about 1864 in Pennsylvania. Israel Amos Johnson and Anne D. Wilmouth had the following children:
