32. Raymond R. Ritchey ⁽²⁵⁾ was born on Jul 3 1886 in Newells Run, Newport Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.⁽²⁹⁾ He died on Feb 22 1949 in Sand Hill, Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽²⁶⁾ The following is his obituary which appeared in the Marietta Times on February 22, 1949: "Raymond R. Ritchey, 62, died Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. at his home near Sand Hill following illness. Mr. Ritchey was born July 3, 1886, at Newell's Run, a son of Joseph and Martha Miracle Ritchey. He spent most of his life in Newport Twp. and was employed for a number of years as a pumper on oil leases of the late Calvin Peavey in the Newells Run area. In 1820. he moved to Marietta and for 16 years was employed with Marietta Paint and Color Co. In 1936, he moved to farm at Sand Hill. Mr. Ritchey's first wife, Mrs. Lenora Marker (Morken) Ritchey, whom he married in 1913, died June 26, 1926. Son and daughters of this marriage are Raymond Ritchey of the home, Mrs. William Stewart of Marietta Rt. 3 and Mrs. Leroy Stage of Cornerville. He later married Gatha Sturm and she survives with one son, Reuben Ritchey of the home. There are two step- sons, Robert and Harold Sturm of Marietta. There are also six grandchildren. Brothers and sisters are Thomas and Joseph Ritchey of Marietta, Brady Ritchey of Gravel Bank, Clyde Ritchey of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Iva Hupp of Marietta, Mrs. Delia Bayless of Waverly, W. Va., and Mrs. Ollie Sesher of Elizabeth, Pa. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Doudna and McClure's. Burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery at Hills P.O." He was buried on Feb 24 1949 in Beech Grove Cemetery.⁽²⁴⁾

He was married to Mary Lenora Morken (daughter of Hamilton Morken and Joanna Hill) on Aug 2 1913 in Washington County, Ohio.⁽⁴⁷⁾ They were married by Rev. E. A. Coil, a Unitarian clergyman. Mary Lenora Morken ⁽²⁹⁾ was born on Feb 28 1896 in Long Run, Newport Twp., Washington Co., Ohio.⁽²⁹⁾ She died on Jun 26 1926.⁽⁴⁸⁾ According to Daniel Ritchey she took her own life with a shotgun. She was buried in Beech Grove Cemetery. Raymond R. Ritchey and Mary Lenora Morken had the following children:

He was married to Gatha "Gathy" V. Slider (daughter of Joseph Slider and Arvana "Rosie" Reynolds) on Mar 9 1929 in Washington County, Ohio.⁽⁴⁹⁾ They were married by Hal H. Lloyd, a minister. Raymond R. Ritchey and Gatha "Gathy" V. Slider had the following children:
