His daughter, Maria, married Stephen Noland, of Newell's Run, and Mary married
Joseph L. Conner, of Newport township. Mr. Ritchey was drowned in 1861, in the
Ohio, near the mouth of Newell's Run." Note: According to census records
Jacob's daughter, Mary, was born about 1837 in Pennsylvania, and the next child,
John was born about 1845 in Ohio. So Jacob moved to Ohio sometime after 1837,
Washington County tax records seem to indicated that he moved to Ohio the same
year John was born.
