2. John Calhoun Ritchey ⁽²⁾ was born on Jun 28 1828 in Erie, Pennsylvania. ⁽⁴⁾ He , according to federal census records, was a cooper in 1850 in Newport Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. He died on Jan 13 1918 in Newport Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. He was buried in Beech Grove Cemetery.

He was married to Frances A. Marshall (daughter of Benjamin Marshall and Frances Gillingham) on Oct 19 1851 in Washington County, Ohio.⁽⁵⁾ They where married by George Willis, a Justice of the Peace. Frances A. Marshall ⁽⁶⁾ was born on Oct 20 1834 in Columbiana Co., Ohio. She died on Jul 12 1906 in Newport Twp., Washington Co., Ohio. ⁽³⁾ She was buried in Beech Grove Cemetery. John Calhoun Ritchey and Frances A. Marshall had the following children:
