this is the beginning of my search for my ancestory. the english and scottish heritage of my family is what i most desire to find. i would even be interested in the exact village or township my ancestors came from.
i do know that the first ritchie to come across the atlantic came from scotland in 1764. he married an english woman. later on (not sure when) the ritchies settled in eastern kentucky. this is where i am from.
the taulbees i have dated as far back as 1810 in morgan county kentucky. all i know of my taulbee heritage is that it is english.
